SMP Law has a long and rich history focusing on three specific areas of law – family law, estate law and civil law. We have developed extensive knowledge of law in these areas and have experienced great success in these areas of law. With the increase in family law cases, SMP Law has made the decision to shift our expertise to focusing on family law.

Shawn Philbert, the lawyer at SMP Law has been recognized as a Lawyer of Distinction. The 2022 award recognizes excellence in family and divorce law.

Although we are in Black History Month, I wanted to remind everyone that focusing on Black History should not be just one month but all year long. We need to continue to raise awareness of the historic acts of people of colour to begin to break down the embedded misconceptions of the history of our country.
