My separation and divorce had spiralled out of control for 18 months, as my first lawyer was far too passive and accommodating and allowed opposing counsel to waste time and money with useless email and phone conversations, and endless debating of minor points instead of focusing on bigger issues. I believe this was their strategy; to frustrate me and hoping I would sign the very bad deal they were offering to end the litigation.
