We have prioritized our family law focus, while still staying in touch with civil and estate litigation. 2025 was a very busy year with family law, particularly with being a speaker at the PSAG conference and at various events on the topic of Parental Alienation. SMP Law is a proud supporter of the Terry Fox Run! The Terry Fox Run was scheduled for September 14, 2025 all across Canada. We hope everyone who participated enjoyed themselves raising money for such an important cause.

SMP Law honours National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. SMP Law is wearing orange today to remember the Indigenous children whose lives were lost at residential schools. We honour the victims, survivors and the families and communities impacted. The orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that many Indigenous children experienced.

On July 8, 2025, SMP Law sponsored the Halton Catholic Children’s Foundation (HCCF) Charity Golf Tournament! This very important tournament raises money for students in need within the Halton Catholic District School Board. The money raised goes directly to students who need financial assistance for basic needs like, food, clothing, school activities, and learning technology.
