SMP Law is a proud supporter of the Terry Fox Run! The Terry Fox Run was scheduled for September 14, 2025 all across Canada. We hope everyone who participated enjoyed themselves raising money for such an important cause.

Shawn Philbert, lawyer at SMP Law attended the recent international conference in September 2025, hosted by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC) on Advanced Issues in Child Custody. It was a 4-day conference with excellent speakers from all over the world.

Historically, any type of review of a business was typically word of mouth. Someone would share they had a positive experience with a business and that would encourage other people to try that business. Today, however, one of the best tools for consumers of any business has become reviews and testimonials. At any time, we can go to a business and check their reviews. Reviews can tell a lot about a business and how they handle their business, both happy and unhappy clients or customer. What should you look for in a review?
